This seems to be the most common style fence these days. So many pros, so few cons. One of the pros is that it’s relatively maintenance free. This was built new in 2019. I washed and stained it first in spring 2022. We did the maintenance again around Thanksgiving 2025. Maintenance the second go around consisted of washing and staining the top board and doing the same with the bottom configuration of wood boards. That’s it. The posts are pressure treated as are the support joists.
